Mampakanan Sahur & Mamapas Lewu, Dayak’s Heritage Ceremony in Hindu Kaharingan November, 08 – 10 2011

Mampakanan Sahur ceremony is a Hindu's Kaharingan cultural heritage to give or offering foods to the supernatural spirit of GOD. Essentially Dayak's tribal customs of Heritage. The ceremony is held every year with defferent procedures such as “ Mamapas Lewu “, “ Menyanggar Lewu “, and many more ceremonies. Mamaps Lewu is a describe of community life since the Dayak triber ancestors,peace living,open,sociable and estlabish unity and intergrity ( Philosophy Betang House ).

This celebrations aims to clean up of the universe from a variety of conflict,the dangers,epidemics of disease to create an atmosphere of heat into cold,hot into cool. This ceremony also corporate prayers offered to GOD the almighty one to the creation of eternal life on the earth, protected from all calamities,conflicts,jealousy and enemy. Creates balance of human and natural environment to sustainable ecosystem in this life 

Day. 01 Airport – Transfer in (L, D)

On arrival at Sampit ( H. Asan ) Airport, meet and great with our Guide, Transfer in to Hotel. We will visit preparation of the event and learn about Dayak’s Cultures

Day 02. Sacrifice and Pray  (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we will go to the location of the event, prepared your health and your mental during that event. They will make some unusual actions as our traditional and dance  

Day 03. Hotel – Airport (B)

Morning breakfast at the hotel, checking out and before to airport we will take you on river side to see a few closing event of Mampakanan Sahur & Mamapas Lewu and transfer out to Airport for your next destination.

Flash of Sampit Kalimantan Tengah

Sampit as Kotawaringin Capital East is one of the most important cities in the province of Central Kalimantan. In addition because it is economically a relatively advanced districts as well as located in a strategic position.

On May 1, 1859 the Dutch Government to open ports in Sampit.

The first version states that the first open area Sampit first region is the one who named Sampit from Bati-Bati, South Kalimantan, around the beginning of the 1700s. As historical evidence, the tomb of "Datu" Sampit itself can be found around Basirih. "Datu" Sampit have two children namely Alm. "Datu" Djungkir and "Datu" Usup Lamak. According to other sources, said Sampit derived from the Chinese meaning "to 31" (sam = 3, it = 1). Dalam bahasa Dayak liau haring keharingan " Lewu Tatau Habaras Bulau Hagusung Intan Dia Rumpang Tulang ".
